What are the most popular front door styles?

21/03/2017
  • Choosing a new front door can feel like a bit of a gamble – what style do you go for? Will it date? Is this the right colour to match the rest of my house exterior? What are the latest front door trends? All these are popular questions that our customers ask us, so we thought we’d take some of the risk out of choosing your new front door by sharing the most popular front door styles that our customers love. Which is your favourite?

    GRP Contemporary

Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) doors are an extremely popular option as they are strong, lightweight, extremely durable and easy to maintain – and a must for modern homes. This contemporary style includes three vertical glass panels so you can let in light and check who is calling at the door before you open it. This glass is also available as sandblasted glass to add an extra element of privacy should you require it. This style is very popular with our customers at the moment, especially in black.

    GRP Axor

The Axor front door style is a relatively new addition to our range, but already it’s proving very popular thanks to the simple, minimalistic style and stylish sidelight option to add some extra light to your hallway. Our anthracite grey option suits most home exteriors and of course, you can customise it with your choice of knocker, handles and letterbox should you desire. The perfect front door for any contemporary home.

    Mahogany Colonial

This stunning mahogany door has everything you could want – style, durability, security and of course great value – no wonder it’s one of our best sellers. This is the perfect addition to a traditional home with a classic exterior, thanks to the subtle routered 6-panel design and in terms of colour you can choose to stain or varnish – whichever you prefer. For accessories, gold-tones work best to complement the natural tones in this beautiful wood if you choose to stain it and show off the original woodgrain.

    Worcester Unglazed

When people think of mahogany doors they often think of traditional, or dare we say ‘old fashioned’ door styles, but with the Worchester front door that couldn’t be farther from the truth. The sleek design and contemporary finish makes this the perfect addition to a modern home where quality fixtures and fittings are an absolute must. This door can be customised as you like it with different colours and glass inserts, and as it’s available in three different sizes it’s suitable for most homes.
